We finally got home around 8:00 p.m. last night! Whew! What a trip! My brother, Dave and his family picked us up from the airport. It was great to see them and I know that they really enjoyed meeting Trey.
When we got home, Trey was completely wound up. He just ran from room to room touching EVERYTHING! It was cute to see his excitement, but it also frightened us in the fact that he was into everything!!!! We finally got him to bed around 10:30 p.m. He slept for a whopping 3 1/2 hours and woke us up at 2:00 a.m.! Ever since we arrived in Moscow (and now arrived in the U.S.), he has been waking us up extremely early. Most of this is due to time-zone changes...but we believe that this morning was due to his excitement over his new home, new stuff....so many new things to explore.
We must admit that even though he was extremely hyper last night. He has done better today. He has spent much of his time in his room playing or watching T.V. in our loft. Therefore, the rest of our house has been pretty safe. :o) Anyway, Trey is currently taking a nap. We ran to our old house to do some light cleaning and he fell asleep in the car. When we got back home, we put him in his bed and he is getting a good nap in now. He definitely needs it (as we do too).
Therefore, our first day together in the U.S. has been good. And...really our travel worked out well too. Trey did much better on the two flights yesterday than he did on his very first flight a week ago.
We'll post again soon with updates on our daily life. For now, we just marvel at the fact that Trey is really our son and we praise God for this little miracle. He's such a treasure to us and we can't wait to build more memories together. This journey was extremely difficult at times and it really tested our faith. Nonetheless, we are so thankful for God's perfect timing and his perfect plan. Trey is such a special blessing to us and we are extremely grateful for him. Thanks again for all of your prayers, support, emails, and comments on our blog. We really appreciate all of the support that we have received.
Take Care and God Bless.

So glad you guys made it home safe and sound. I imagine it will take a while for all of you to get used to the time change. Wow! What a blessing for you guys to have Trey home! We're so thrilled for you. Blessings on all of the adjustments you have ahead of you! We'll e-mail you soon.
As Ty Pennington from 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' says, "Welcome Home, Gebhardt Family, Welcome Home!!"
We're glad you made it home safe and sound!
Love,
Susie
I'm so happy you made it home and now you can get down to the business of being Mama and Papa to that little bundle of energy. I'm not surprised he was completely wound up at first. He had a LOT to adjust to. He'll calm down soon, I'm sure. So welcome home! I'll continue to watch the blog for updates.
Lots of love and hugs, Tom and Martha
I started to cry when reading this post. It is just very special to see a family that worked so hard to become just that, a family. It wasn't always an easy road, but you wanted your little boy so badly and now he's all yours...congratulations and God's many blessings as you continue to grow as a family!!

Hi Guys,
I've been following your travails and wanted to congratulate you on your homecoming. You've sure been through a lot. And now a different kind of journey starts. What you did is awesome and lifechanging and such a great testimony to others. Rest up, catch up, and try hard to enjoy your new family! God's Blessings to you!
Glad you all made it home safe and sound. Now is your time to start on those family memories! Best wishes.
Now the honeymoon really begins. It is so nice to finally leave the mindset of 'waiting for the phone to ring' and paper chasing behind and just bask in the blessings of God's promises manifest infront of you. Praise the Lord for Trey! His smile is so beautiful. It is apparent that he is beaming from the inside. I am so excited for the day that he will understand who JC is. You may have to wear shades just to be around him at that point. God bless you guys as you rest and settle in.
