We are so excited that the days keep zooming by while we are in Vlad. Today, we had breakfast at the restaurant in our hotel, then we spent some time in the White Rabbit (a lounge area in the hotel--nice and big for playing together), then we had lunch in our room. After lunch, we walked to the market for a few groceries. When we returned from the market, we decided to go and check out the clown that was in the hotel lobby. Apparently, every Sunday, there is a clown who spends time in the hotel lobby--playing games with the kids and entertaining. We were there for 3 hours! Trey had the best time interacting with the other children and playing the games that the clown initiated. He did a great job and truly was one of the best-behaved children there. It was also really fun to watch him interact with the children. He had a constant smile and was really enjoying himself. It was hard to tear him away from this fun...but all we had to do was mention "food" and he was willing to leave. Next, we had dinner in our room....then bathtime. Then, we watched "Happy Feet" again (this is 8 days in a row!). After the movie, it was bedtime. Therefore, Sleeping Beauty is soundly sleeping once again. He really does well at bedtime. The past few nights, I just hold him in my arms while Shane and I sing lullabies to him. He falls asleep within 10 minutes or so. He really does well at bedtime.
Tomorrow will be Day 10 of our 10 day waiting period! Yeah!!! We are looking forward to leaving on Thursday for Moscow and getting some new scenery. In the meantime, Vlad has been lots of fun. It's still fairly cool here. Therefore, we still wear coats everyday. Nonetheless, the sun has been shining and we have enjoyed our days both inside the hotel and outside.
Take Care and God Bless,
Shane, Kathy, and Trey

Thanks again for all the posts! So good to hear all about your journey becoming a family! We are still "enjoying" winter here! I was snowed in on Friday (stuck twice in my driveway before I could even make it to the road which wasn't plowed yet)so worked from home. Got up in the 30's yesterday though so snow really started to melt. Predicting 40's today and 50's next week so this won't last long!-Be "prairie doggin" by next week-end! Love Ya! Larry G.
We too got to enjoy the clown. The children that were there with their mafia parents were less than enjoyable. I'm sure Trey did stand out for good behavior if your group was anything like the ones we witnessed! I'm so glad you are almost through with your wait. The thing that really started to get to me was knowing that another $900 bill would be under the door again soon! That can start to eat you up after awhile. Camping out isn't really an option though. I am so excited to see a picture of your son!
What an incredibly sweet boy you have. You deserve it! I remember the clown too...and the terribly-behaved kids running all over the restaurant!! You are so close to coming home!! We can't wait to see Trey's little face for the first time tomorrow!! Enjoy your last few days in Trey's birth region. Take as many pictures as you possibly can! Once you're home, it feels like it all went by so fast, and the months at home fly by like weeks! We are SO SO happy for you!!

You sound as if you are having just the most amazing and beautiful time becoming a family. Trey sounds incredible: he is doing so well with all the changes, which must be a huge relief to you both.
How much of Happy Feet are you word perfect on now?
Wow! The ten days are almost up. Time seems to drag so long during the wait between trips, but then it flies once the fun begins. We wish you the best as you prepare to travel for the last leg of your journey in Moscow. Can't wait to see pictures soon! Our prayers continue to be with you all.
I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time in Vlad and your bonding is going well too. It sounds like you are keeping busy which is good. I know you are ready to venture to Moscow for a change in scenery and hopefully it will be nice so you can enjoy the park (across from the Holiday Inn).
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Trey on Tuesday even if he is wearing mis-matched clothes. Too cute!
Wow! Your time is going quickly! We didn't have to go through Moscow (which would have been neat to see!) so our stay in Vlad was a long one. But I agree....the days did go by quickly and you can always find something to do! Sounds like he's doing so well -- can't wait to see pictures of him!
We love reading all your posts and hearing how well you are all doing. We are just so glad you doing so well! We can't wait to see the pictures of the schmoozer!
Take care,
d
