Last Full Day in Vlad!

I am including a few pictures from yesterday and today. Yesterday, we spent our entire afternoon finalizing documents. Today, we took a nice walk in the morning (and stopped for ice cream along the way). Then, we spent most of the afternoon picking up documents (including Trey's passport) and getting Trey's medical completed. He did very well again today, despite long stints of waiting in the car while Papa and Irina went into the government buildings. He also grabbed a short nap on the ride home. He was really cute at the doctor's office. I could sense that he was nervous. I mentioned this to Irina and she said that he had asked why we were there and wondered if he was going to get a shot. Lucky for him....no shots today. :o)

Tonight, after we put Trey to bed, we have been packing and doing laundry. Trey could hardly lay down to sleep because he is so excited to get on the plane tomorrow. He literally has been counting the days until our departure. He is so excited to see his new home (his new doma). It's too bad that he will have to wait another 5 days..... Anyway, we could all use some different scenery. Overall, our time here has gone pretty fast, so we can't complain. We're sure that our time in Moscow will fly by as well.

Our next post will be from Moscow! God's Blessings!

Hi Guys! So glad to hear that Trey is so excited to get his "plane ride" and to see his new "doma". You have done an awesome job of preparing him for the next leg of his great adventure. There is a reason God gave him to you as a son, you are perfect parents for him! Safe travels and God Bless!

Our prayers continue to be with you all. God's blessings as you head on to Moscow and get everything finalized to bring Trey home. We're glad to hear that Trey is eager with anticipation to be in his new home. Hope everything goes smoothly with the flight and at the embassy in Moscow.

Your son is absolutely beautiful. He shines. You all shine together. I am so glad to see picutres of Russia again. It is strange how you can miss a place like that. I thought I'd never want to go back but strangely I'd be willing to and even happy(?) to if God were to call us there again. We are so happy for you that your time there is through because we remember how badly we wanted to be home once we got Dmitry. You have many 'firsts' ahead. It sounds like God is miving in your lives in many different ways right now. Congatulations on the sale agreement on your house. That is more great news! God bless you as you travel!

I know you are sad to leave Vlad, but you will enjoy sightseeing in Moscow with Trey. He will love all the buildings and cars too. We had a great view from our room, so hopefully you will too. Enjoy the park close to the Holiday Inn. We tried one day, but it was still too cold to do too much during our time there. We paid about $100 for a CHI driver to take us for 2 hours around to the main photo stops. You can also hire a driver from the Holiday Inn to take you to Arbat Street, etc. for 1380 rubles. At least it gives you some options for getting out of the hotel. They will give you the number to call once you are done shopping on Arbat too. We couldn't use our cell phone, but you can call from Hard Rock. They were really nice to help us!

Have fun and I look forward to seeing pictures!

Hi to the beautiful family!
Trey is just beaming you can tell that he is so comfortable and loving his new mama and papa!! Another thought if it is nice is the Moscow Zoo. We passed by it quite a few times going to the embassy. Might be another option since Trey is older and if it is nice out. Enjoy Moscow - so completely different from Vlad.
God bless on 1/2 way trip home!
